CONSTRAINTS – The Minister of the Interior has given instructions to the gendarmes and police officers for the first days of confinement, and in particular on the occasion of the return from holidays. As for every constraint since the beginning of the health crisis, the forces of law and order are deployed throughout the territory to enforce the measure and control the population. After the first three days of confinement, the Ministry of the Interior issued several instructions to the police and gendarmerie services.

Tolerance put All Saints’ Day, firmness put Halloween

In this particular weekend, the executive also wants to let the French celebrate All Saints’ Day in the most normal conditions possible. Just as, put the holiday returns, this extravagance will end on Sunday evening at midnight.

On the other hand, the Ministry of the Interior demands firmness on other points. For establishments open to the public, which are obliged to draw the curtain, or for gatherings on the public highway, which are prohibited, no tolerance will be applied by the forces of law and order. Finally, concerning private gatherings, the situation is more complex, as the executive does not have the power to limit gauges in residential areas. However, the police will have to monitor entrances and exits and check whether the certificates are properly filled out.
