John McCain’s widow was censured by Arizona state Republican politicians for failing to support President Trump– and she took it in stride.
” It is a high honor to be consisted of in a group of Arizonans who have actually served our state and our nation so well … and who, like my late hubby John, have actually been censured by the AZGOP. I’ll wear this as a badge of honor,” Cindy McCain tweeted Saturday night
By midnight, the remark earned 125,000 likes on Twitter, where “Mrs. McCain” was trending.
Trump had infamously disparaged McCain’s Vietnam war hero and US senator hubby– who was caught when his aircraft was shot down by North Vietnamese soldiers throughout the war, causing years of abuse.
