“Essential shops should not be confused with basic necessities”, the Minister of the Economy said on BFMTV while a movement of opinion is calling for the reopening of local shops.

“It is urgent to re-establish equity between small businesses and supermarkets,” Bruno Le Maire said Sunday, November 1. While “non-essential” businesses are protesting against their closure due to reconfinement, and denouncing “unfair competition” from those that remain open, the Minister of Economy announced on BFMTV that the Prime Minister could announce in the evening the closure in large areas
