A middle-distance professional, Willis has sub-4 miles every year because 2003– and even the 2 years prior to that, he clocked a 4: 01 and 4:02 It wasn’t until 2019 that the record of successive years running a sub-4 mile even came onto Willis’s radar.

When he tied the record in 2020 at the New Balance Grand Prix in Boston, Willis recognized he might get the unknown record if he might discover a race– something made far more hard because of COVID-19
