The text of the pronouncement issued by US President Donald Trump recognizing Morocco’s full sovereignty over its Sahara has been distributed to the 193 UN member states, as an official document of the Security Council, in the 6 official languages of the UN. In a letter accompanying the text of the U.S. proclamation, the Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the United States to the United Nations, Kelly Craft, said that on December 10, 2020, by this proclamation, President Donald J. Trump recognized that “the entire territory of Western Sahara is part of the Kingdom of Morocco”. In this letter, addressed to the President of the Security Council and a copy of which had also been sent to the UN Secretary-General, Kelly Craft stresses that the American proclamation affirms that the Moroccan autonomy proposal is “the only basis for a just and sustainable service
