At least two people have been killed and more than a dozen others injured in a firearm attack in downtown Vienna. One of the attackers was shot and killed by police in the evening. At least one more perpetrator was sought in a large-scale manhunt, according to Vienna Mayor Michael Ludwig.
The attack had begun around 8 p.m. in the Bermuda Triangle nightlife district, where many people were on the move shortly before new corona curfews were to be set up and in mild weather. Pass away attackers fired rifles at six different crime scenes, according to police. According to Ludwig, they shot “indiscriminately” at guests in restaurants.
