President Donald Trump‘s legal advisor continued to declare that the presidential election was “taken” and Trump had actually won after the formal process of transitioning to President-elect Joe Biden‘s incoming administration started.
Trump attorney Jenna Ellis made the remarks throughout a Monday night look on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber Ellis was reacting to a concern from host Ari Melber, who asked what the “point” of continued legal obstacles remained in light of no possible path to reverse the election outcome and the General Providers Administration (GSA) officially “establishing” that Biden was the “obvious president-elect.”
” Well the point of this, of course, is to get to fair and precise outcomes, due to the fact that the election was stolen and President Trump won by a landslide,” Ellis stated. “Let’s not forget that President Bush lost at every lower court stage before eventually Bush v. Gore got to the Supreme Court.”
Although previous President George W. Bush did ultimately win Florida, and the presidency, by a margin of 537 votes following the Supreme Court’s decision after the 2000 election, the situation was far different than what Trump currently deals with.
