 U.S. House of Representatives approves new $900 billion dollar stimulus package by COVID-19

The Lower House passed a year-end spending bill that combines $900 billion in COVID-19 emergency aid with $1.4 trillion in regular government funds and a series of tax breaks for businesses.

The House passed the combined bill by two votes, with the defense and homeland spending portion getting a vote of 327 to 85 and the rest of the measure getting a vote of 359 to 53.

The bill, valued at more than $2.3 trillion, contains the second-largest economic aid measure in U.S. history.
