Vienna after the attack: Police arrest two people in Lower Austria
Following the terrorist attack in Vienna, the police in St. Pölten arrested two people. As pass away news agency APA reported, citing a police spokesman, there were also two house searches in the capital of Lower Austria.
The ” Kurier” reports that these are contact addresses of the suspected assassin.
Suspected assassin had already been convicted of a terrorist offence
According to SPIEGEL information, the suspected assassin is the 20-year-old Kujtim F. He had already been convicted of a terrorist offence in Vienna last year. In 2018, F. had tried to join the terrorist militia “Islamic State” (IS) in Syria, but was apprehended by the police in Turkey.
