Xbox Live Gold subscriptions received rate hikes, then Microsoft backtracked
What just occurred? Microsoft’s long-running Xbox Live service hasn’t seen a cost change in years, despite getting a few core feature enhancements with time (consisting of the ‘Games with Gold’ program). There was the objective to alter that, where Gold subscription charges would be increasing across the board (unless you have an existing 12 or 6-month strategy). Scratch that, Microsoft has rapidly responded as shown below.

To bring Xbox Live more in line with how we see the player at the center of their experience we will be eliminating Gold requirements for free-to-play video games.

We’re starting deal with that right away and will have updates in the coming months. Information: https://t.co/tWomNAwmp9
